Tick tock, tick tock. It’s ten o’ clock.
In today’s generation, a lot of people prefer to wander around the streets during late hours. Rather than staying and enjoying the comfort of their homes, some prefer to drink alcohol, sniff solvent, and get into different sorts of illegal activities. Worse, they put themselves in difficult situations.
Several cities across the country have implemented a 10pm curfew and one main reason is to address issues regarding crimes, which are believed to happen mostly at night.
Darkness is what usually frightens other people. Going out at night feels to dangerous for them, especially when there are few street lights nearby which could help light their paths.
One area in this locality which experiences this kind of difficulty is Laurel, San Pascual. Citizens from the area raise concerns regarding having insufficient outdoor lighting. There has already been reported cases on theft and destroying of street lights. This can impose a higher risk on the possibilities of more violent crimes such as sexual assault, murder and drunk driving.
It is important to respond to relevant issues in our community. We cannot guarantee our safety at all times so we must at least need possible solutions to our concerns. It is quite visible that the installation of street lights are to establish protection among the citizens of a community. It is reasonable for it will promote the safety and security of the people. No street shall be left unlit in Laurel, San Pascual. Everyone deserves to walk their way homes safely with a light that guides their path
